So you have a PROBLEM do you? Well we all do!.... and you're NOT alone!!!!
Paramedics and Ambulance Officers throughout the world experience many different situations. Having been an Ambo
for over 20 years and having experienced many of those "situations" that you have...I know what it's like! AND as a counsellor
of Ambo's now for a number of years, I offer FREE advice and counselling to those that need it! YES FREE!!!! No charge or
any hidden costs! THAT'S NOT the way I work! I know EXACTLY what Ambo's go through and trust me! - I am here to help.....why?...because
I care and know what it's like to be an Ambo! Saving lives is serious business and it should be done with compassion and the
support of others....people who know and care.....people the same as you! Ever had a situation that scared the hell out
of you and you didn't know what to do? Well I've been in many situations like that! How did I get through it? With help from
other people. Now I offer you the same help - just one email away and you have the help you need!!!! Just friendly advice
for you and you only!!!!
I have worked in more than one Ambulance Service over the last 20 plus years and still work in one, as well
as a volunteer service for another Ambulance Service. I have enjoyed EVERY minute and wouldn't dream of doing anything else!
It's been hard at times of course - but because I have outside interests, I cope very well - plus I have ALWAYS had someone
to talk to! - someone who experienced similar situations! But having an interest in sports like Cricket, Aussie
Rules Football, Golf, Hockey, Swimming, Baketball, Soccer, Darts, and playing chess has given me the opportunity to forget
about the tough times at work. I also enjoy a good time socially - which is a great relief factor for an Ambo! But most of
all what an Ambo needs is a friendly and understanding person to talk to! Someone who cares the same as they do!
So if you think that you need to talk to someone - then don't sit there and dwell on it - help is always available!
As the great Dr David Stearn told his niece (Dr Nancy Caroline).... "the care of a patient is a privilege that must be
earned". There's one other motto I live by and that's "no matter where you go....or what happens to you!......knowledge is
ONE thing that no-one can take away from you"
